USES
Modavinil 200 mg is used for:

DOSAGE
Use the medication as and when prescribed by the healthcare provider. Do not double the dose in case if the dose is missed. The usual recommended dose for adults is one Modavinil 200 mg taken orally once daily in the morning for Narcolepsy or OSAHS. For shift work sleep disorder, the tablet is usually taken approximately one hour before the start of the work shift.

INTERACTIONS
Drug-drug interactions
- Anticoagulants like warfarin when used together with modafinil can increase the risk of bleeding.
- Modafinil when combined with opioids can lower their blood levels and lead to extreme pain.
- Modafinil can reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills, patches or implants by increasing the activity of liver enzymes that metabolize these drugs leading to unintended pregnancy.
- Modafinil can interact with SSRIs like citalopram
- Modafinil affects the drugs metabolized by CYP2C19 e.g. certain antidepressants, proton pump inhibitors, anticonvulsants, etc.

- Heart problems (chest pain, irregular heartbeat, previous heart attack, high blood pressure)
- liver or kidney problems
