DOSAGE

• Ketoconazole and other CYP3A4/2C19 inhibitors raise modafinil’s blood levels
• Amphetamines, methylphenidate, high-dose caffeine: additive stimulant effects (increased heart rate, blood pressure, CNS stimulation)
• MAOIs: potential additive hypertensive/pressor effect
• SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclic antidepressants: some overlap in metabolic pathways; additive CNS stimulation possible
• Other cardiovascular-active drugs: additive effect on heart rate and blood pressure, since modafinil itself raises both
